Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Shor Consulting, Inc. ("Shor Consulting", "we", "us"), which operates i18nProof, collects through the i18nProof website at i18nproof.dev, the i18nProof application, its SDK, API and MCP server, and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
From our customers
- Account information: the names and email addresses of the people on a customer's team and of the reviewers they invite, used to sign them in, show findings in their language and contact them about their account.
- Billing information: payments are handled by Stripe. We receive the name, email address and billing country on the subscription and the last four digits of the card, never the full card number.
- Locale files and source text: the strings in the locale files of a repo a customer connects, with their keys, file paths and commit identifiers, plus any glossary or style guide the customer provides.
- Captured text: text a customer's app renders, generates or sends while the i18nProof SDK is on, such as filled-in templates, AI-generated descriptions, and the body of emails and text messages. The SDK replaces names, numbers, codes, addresses and similar values with typed placeholders before the text leaves the customer's app, and sends only text that has not been seen before. Customers control which parts of their app the SDK watches.
- Review decisions: the verdicts, comments and fixes that reviewers record, kept against a fingerprint of the text so that the same text is never reviewed twice.
From website visitors
Basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, which our hosting and security providers record to keep the service running and secure. The public website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Signing in to the application uses a session cookie.
How we use information
- To provide i18nProof: scanning, capturing, reviewing and reporting on text, and showing results to the customer's team and reviewers.
- To bill for the service and send receipts and account notices.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use a customer's text to train models.
How we share information
We share information only with the service providers that run i18nProof for us, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing their service:
- Hosting and network security (Hetzner Online, Cloudflare)
- Payments (Stripe)
- AI review of text (Anthropic, and OpenAI or Google when a customer turns those models on)
- Expert reviewers, when a customer routes a language to i18nProof's experts; they see the text under review and the finding, not the customer's account details
A customer's text, findings and decisions are visible to that customer's team and the reviewers they invite. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and others. If i18nProof is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
Retention
We keep locale text, captured text and review decisions while the customer's account is open, because the ledger of past decisions is what prevents repeat reviews. A customer can delete a project, a locale or the whole account at any time, and we delete its data within 30 days. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. The application is reachable only after sign-in, variable values are replaced with placeholders before text leaves a customer's app, and access to production systems is limited to the people who run the service.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you are a reviewer, you can also ask the customer who invited you. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Children
i18nProof is a business service and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page with a new effective date, and tell customers by email about significant ones.
